The DC300 Kickbacker is an unorthodox deep diver that can produce action changes like a bait hitting the bottom, even with a straight retrieve. This warp action occurs from the water resistance around the lip of the bait and is intermittently released, giving it an unpredictable movement. This design gives the bait a momentary pause, and with the rattle sound, you can trigger bites even in the middle of the water column. It has an “escape” action that triggers bites. The bait also casts very well and dives down slowly, expanding every cast’s productive zone. This allows you to search vast areas along deep flats and it’s also very effective for suspended bass in a neutral mood. These fish were previously very difficult to target with a crankbait.

What is the action that “changes” just by reeling? By retrieving the DC-Kickbacker, you can create a unique escaping action because of the lip design. It has movement during the retrieve but still has a tight wobbling roll and rattling sound, which is unique and gets bites. This trick action also creates an action that will get bites, even without contacting anything.

SOUND

An intermittent rattle sounds like you’ve never heard before!

The low-pitched rattle is created from large stainless steel rattles and resonates for long distances. It has a unique pitch that changes with each sudden movement of the bait, which gets bites even in the middle of the water column.

MID-RANGE, LONG TRACKING ACTION

The unorthodox diving angle gives a tracking action in the middle of the water column, and the unique trajectory as the bait dives is a gentle curve rather than a steep dive to the bottom. This also helps to keep it from hanging up in the grass. It gets bites immediately as it starts to dive, not just on the bottom, making it effective for covering large flats with migrating bass.

WEIGHT SETTING

The weight system helps the bait cast a long way, and the weight transfer system and rattles add sound. The rattle chamber is also specially designed to suppress left and right shaking, and the stainless steel balls are specifically weighted to achieve the same casting distance as tungsten.

Pointed Nose and Lip

The pointed lip is excellent for feeling the bottom and helps to avoid snags. This unique lip shape is bent at the tip, giving the Kickbacker the unique escaping action.

HOOK

The hook sizes are different: #4 on the front and #2 on the rear to reduce getting stuck in the grass and to help land big bass.

SPLIT RING: #3

The V-shaped belly fits with the hook, reducing the front hook’s movement and giving the bait its sharp action.

Caution: High temperatures

If the bait is placed in direct sunlight, in a car, tackle box while fishing, or in other high-temperature locations, the air inside the bait may expand due to the temperature difference. This can cause deformation, cracks, and other damage.
