BASIRISKY HARDBELLY / FROG

Basirisky, which created a new genre of soft crawler baits, has changed the concept of a frog. It has evolved into a high-response model called the HARD BELLY with a better hook-up percentage and a sharp crawling action. This was done while keeping the sound and vibration from the soft version, so it’s still very natural.

The bait has a hard plate on the belly that helps protrude the hook upwards when a bass bites, making for even better hook penetration. This plate also has great water drainage, keeping the bait crawling and making sharp movements. The Basirisky HARD BELLY is an exciting topwater bait that works in grass and trash mats, as well as around docks and overhangs in open water.

HARD BELLY PLATE SYSTEM

The hard plate on the belly crushes in to expose the hook on the soft back of the bait, no matter how a bass bites it. This gives you a better hook-up percentage, while the hard belly also helps the bait drain water for a better response when working the bait to get the crisp action.

BODY FORM

The hard belly system and body shape have been refined for the best performance. The shape exposes the hook point when a bass bites but holds it in place when walking the bait. It is weedless and designed to get better hook-ups than conventional soft frogs, so big fish cannot escape.

DOUBLE AIR VENT

The hard belly allows the bait to keep its shape, even after hitting the water on a hard cast. This prevents water from getting inside the bait, which helps the bait perform better and get the best hook-up percentage. The double air vents at the rear of the bait release air inside the body quickly when a fish bites, again helping to get a better hookset. Any water that gets in the bait can be quickly released simply by squeezing the bait.

CONSTRUCTION

The weight is placed at the center of the bait for best balance and to keep the bait from shifting during the retrieve. The placement of the weight was also incorporated to get the best hook-ups. The weight also helps keep water from getting inside the bait and helps to get excellent casting distance. This lure was designed to be fished right out of the package without specialized tuning.

OPEN WATER CRAWL

The HARD BELLY has a unique crawling action, like a noisy hard topwater crawler, but it has a unique sound and wake that is unique to the Basirisky. The sound is natural and is achieved by the soft body and “drip drip” sound during the retrieve, which attracts big bass.

HEAVY COVER WALK

When fishing around thick grass, the bait can be fished just like a frog as it pushes through the cover. Its impressive movement will attract fish hiding deep in cover, even fish that would not commit to other lures.
