RADRABBIT / SWIMBAIT

A specialized swimbait for dead slow fishing.

The RadRabbit is a swimbait designed for bank fishing, specializing in the areas that most often result in bites, swimming from just below the surface to 3 feet range. It has the essential swimbait function that fish chase and bite, and the slow retrieve gets fish to commit. When reeling it slowly, the bait wobbles down the entire bait to the tail, making it look like a weak and unsuspecting fish. This wobbling action keeps the bait in small strike zones longer and gives you a better chance at catching fish along the bank.

Body

Body Shape Built for Longer Casts and Better Skipping

By bringing the center of gravity to the bottom of the head, the bait has a stable posture in the air so that you can cast it farther. Also, the body shape makes it easy to skip under overhanging trees, between branches, and under docks. This gives you an advantage when fishing from shore, as access can be limited.

* Please use Crystal Eye Φ6.0mm to repair the eye. For colors not in the Crystal Eye lineup, please use those in the lineup.

Core Parts

Concentrating the weighted resin core that secures the line tie and hook eye gives the bait a lower center of gravity. This reduces weight on the bait’s body and allows the use of a softer material with more action.

Keel/Stable Swimming Action

RADRABBIT_deps_keel

The keels on both sides of the bait push water down and convert it into force to turn the head upwards. This allows the bait to have a stable swimming action, even with a slow retrieve. The prominent protruding keel helps the bait avoid obstacles but also prevents the bait from rolling. This makes a wobbling action, even at slow speeds, and gets extra bites.

*Even when adding extra weight, the keel acts as a stabilizer, allowing the lure to maintain a stable swimming posture without changing the action.

Tail

The narrow tail and inward-facing tail tip grab water so well that it reacts immediately to even the slightest water current.  The bait starts moving right away when you start reeling. Even with super slow retrieves, it has a wobbling action that makes the tail dance and the head shake. It is easy to use in various situations, such as around standing cover, casting to visible bass, and jerking and letting it fall. No matter how you use it, the tail constantly moves and the bait always shakes its head.

Hook & Wire Guard

The bait uses #2 RYUGI Pierce Treble Hooks that hook fish even with the slightest short bites. The wire guard helps keep the bait from snagging so that you can fish it around laydowns, gaps between reeds, and around floating debris. The guard is a Φ0.35mm wire, and it does not interfere with hooking fish but expands the areas where you can fish the bait. When using the wire guard, spread the wire to a “V” shape as desired.
