Big claw action that gets bites on the initial fall.
The large claw of the Beckon Craw seems oversized compared to the compact body. This was by design, as it generates extra vibration as soon it hits the water. During the fall, it has a strong vibration from the giant claw, followed by the smaller vibrations from the legs of the bait, and the antennae section adds a curling action.
When it hits the bottom, the Beckon Craw slowly falls and shakes violently to trigger bites. This is where many bites occur, making it the perfect bait for casting, letting the bait fall, and repeating the process to cover water.

BODY FORM
The multiple appendages look like a crustacean and were put there for maximum water resistance. They also help slow the fall and give the bait plenty of action. The texture of each of these appendages also helps give you more time to set the hook as the bass bites and feel the real thing. The plastic used is very soft but strong enough to stand up to multiple fish and hold your hook perfectly. The material used is 10% salt with added crustacean flavor, which imitates the taste and smell of a living thing and helps to attract bass.
BIG CRAW
The large craw has a hollow, air-filled section that pushes water for more vibration. When it falls, the resistance from the water shakes the big claw and adds vibration. When it finally reaches the bottom, the arms bend and cause the big claw to shake, which triggers bites. The air hole can also be filled with scent, foam for more floating action, or a rattle for added sound.
CURLY ANTENNA & LEG
The inverted legs create micro-vibrations with even the slightest movements and the antennae on the tip of the head make a seductive curling action. The claw, antennae, and legs all produce vibrations of different pitches, giving them a lifelike appearance when they fall and pause after they hit the bottom.
RIGGING
The recommended rigs are a ¼-ounce Texas Rig and trailer on jigs between 3/8-ounce and 1-ounce. Many big bass have been caught with this bait on the first fall, but dragging along the bottom has also produced good results. It’s great for bass but works for any fish that feeds on the bottom.
