The “Head Lock Jig” features a significantly setback line tie position and a sharp short shank hook. It’s a football jig that attracts slow-moving bass with its unique standing action and low trajectory bottom bumping action. The wide design of the head prevents the jig from rolling over, and the line tie is set at the rear of the football head, creating a standing action that stands up and comes over cover. This jig gets reaction bites even when slow crawling it along the bottom.
It is also great for avoiding snags, reducing the odds of getting hung up on rocks, reefs, and riprap. The sharp, short-shank hook pins fish and makes it hard for them to throw the jig, making it ideal for tough fishing conditions and when bass are short-striking your bait.

HEAD LOCK JIG FEATURE
The stable wide head and the offset line eye to the rear of the jig create a standing action that gives your trailer more action, even with the slightest shaking. This allows you to target cover and keep the jig near it.
The significantly setback line tie and the water resistance on the front of the head create a low trajectory action that crawls along the bottom, realistically imitating a fleeing crawfish.
EYE POSITION
In rocky areas such as fish reefs and riprap, the head of most jigs can get caught and snag on the bottom, but the Head Lock Jig has a setback eye position that allows the lure to escape upwards, resulting in fewer snags.
When dragged slowly, the undulating jig creates a standing action, resembling a crawfish backing away in a threatening manner.
CUSTOM HOOK & TRAILER KEEPER
The wire diameter of the hook penetrates even with weak force. The hook point and short shank reduce the number of missed hooksets, allowing you to hook fish in the roof of the mouth.
HEAD DESIGN
The wide football head design is ideal for bottom contact. It maintains a stable landing position that prevents rolling over and improves the ability to feel the bottom.
WIRE GUARD model
The weedless model uses a 0.35mm wire called the ”SPRING WIRE V-SHAPE WEED GUARD” that reduces water resistance and does not interfere with the lure’s natural movement. It’s a weedless option that allows you to attack structure.
When using, spread the wire left and right to form a “V,” and adjust the angle back and forth depending on the cover.
