The “HUGE Spinnerbait” was developed by Kazuhiro Uyama, a pro staff member known as “Kazz,” who has caught monster fish worldwide. After he saw the potential of spinnerbaits, he developed this spinnerbait, which looks normal but was born out of years of trial and error and built to catch fish over 20kg or 44 pounds.

Closed Eye & Φ0.45mm Wire

The line tie is closed to prevent damage such as deformation and breaking arms. This can happen with other baits when the line shifts from the upper to the lower arm when fighting a fish. In addition, the closed eye allows you to fish with a wire leader or snap, which can be crucial for landing monster fish. Doing this is stronger and makes the lower arm less likely to break, which would lead to lost fish.

Also, the new line guard wire adopted for the “HUGE Spinnerbait” reduces deformed baits and helps protect your line from getting caught in the crossed section of the closed eye.

Even with the extra thick Φ1.2mm rigid stainless steel arm, the arms vibrate, causing the bait’s head to shake. It is an excellent spinnerbait that also meets the basic requirements of a spinnerbait: casting well and not hanging up in cover.

HEAD DESIGN

The head design is based on the B Custom, which has a proven track record for catching many big bass. It has been modified to have a great balance setting on this bigger bait.

A #9/O long shank hook made of heavy wire that can withstand a life-or-death battle with a monster fish.

Flutter skirt 1.5×0.5mm

SKIRT

The skirt is a silicone flutter design for durability and the best water flow. The skirt’s volume can make a difference in getting bites, so the skirt holder allows you to add another skirt (sold separately) to bulk up your presentation.

Also, when fishing for monster fish with sharp teeth, please carry spare skirts, as they can easily get damaged.

TARGET FISH

Wire baits are effective for various freshwater monster fish. The final test target that Kazz took on was the world’s largest freshwater fish, the arapaima.

Wire baits have not been a standard lure for arapaima, but in the first attempt in 2013, the test was successful, with over 20 bites and three arapaima.

Also, in 2014, when we visited the Amazon, we caught an 80kg arapaima on video, from cast to catch, demonstrating the potential of the HUGE spinnerbait. In addition to the arapaima, we have also tested various freshwater monster fish, including giant snakeheads, Aymara, peacocks, Papuan bass, etc.

Due to the design of wire baits, heavy use can lead to metal fatigue and breakage. Please be cautious of repeatedly pulling fish by the wire or constantly readjusting the wire, which can cause stress and cause them to break.
