REVERSE CRAW / SOFT BAIT
A bouncing backslider.
The Reverse Claw allows you to target bass hiding in the depths of cover you cannot reach from the surface because it has a backslide fall. Instead of sliding endlessly into the depths, you can get the bait to slide into the cover repeatedly because of the specially designed backslide angle. The Reverse Craw will penetrate all kinds of cover, including laydowns, overhangs, and vegetation. It’s a lure you should always have in your box, whether fishing from a boat or the bank.
REVERSE CRAW
SIZE: 4.3 inches (5 per pack)
Recommended hook: Offset hook #5/0
BODY FORM
The simple body has been stripped of unnecessary appendages that would cause resistance when backsliding or slipping through the cover. The heavy, soft plastic material (approximately 12.7g) with a salt content of 30% gives it high castability, allowing it to backslide into cover. It is also great for sliding onto the opposite bank when fishing along a shoreline. In addition, the soft plastic has crustacean ingredients to appeal to the taste and smell of bass.
*The salt content has been changed from 25% to 30% for baits made after 2020.
HOOK SETTING
By rigging the bait on the flat side of the body and downward, you can get the Reverse Craw to have a backsliding fall. Using a narrow hook around thick cover makes you less likely to snag. This allows you to slide the bait deep into cover without stress.
*Because there are differences depending on the hook brand, each hook may have a different backslide angle, so select the hook according to the situation.
ARM
The rib on the end of the arm grabs the water even without a weight and makes the arm sway seductively.
ACTION
A weightless backslide fall works excellent when fished slowly. Even if you don’t get a bite on the first fall, you can jerk the rod to get a darting action like a fleeing crawfish. This alone will sometimes get bites, but you can let it fall and backslide again toward cover for even more bites. The darting action of the bait is essential to get bites in places where crawfish and shrimp are the primary forage.
Please note: Depending on your computer or phone display, the colors may differ slightly from the actual product.
Depending on the plastic material and salt content, there will also be some variance of colors, so even some of the same colors can look different.
The recommended hook sizes may vary based on the brand, as some manufacturers vary. Please select the correct hook based on the bait size.
