KROMUSHI SOFT BAIT

The KROMUSHI has a high buoyancy body and is compatible with offset hooks. It casts excellent while also staying weedless. The bait was designed for the best hookups and to create a look and action like an insect. The four paddle-shaped wings look like a bug or frog, creating ripples and waves as they fall into the water and then flap on the surface. A single twitch will get the bait to move short distances without moving too far away, so you can work the bait in place.

The body was designed to fit offset hooks and remain weedless, so it’s perfect for fishing under overhanging trees, bushes, and branches in the water. It will appeal to bass preying on insects and is a must-have lure for exciting topwater fishing.

The 1.3-inch compact body is made of a highly buoyant, non-salt soft plastic material that resembles a small beetle or frog. It will fit a #1 or #2 offset hook and still float. Because of its weedless nature, it’s perfect for fishing around cover without stress.

Wings

The forward-leaning paddle-shaped wings catch water and respond quickly, even with the lightest touches. Flapping their wings creates ripples and waves that make the bass look as if it is struggling. The wings’ “kickback” effect allows for a lifelike shake without moving too far away, encouraging hesitant bass to bite.

Action

Imagine the action of a bug struggling in the water, such as around a laydown or overhanging tree. For bass that feed on bugs, the moment the lure hits the water is the best chance for a bite! If there is no bite when the lure hits the water, imagine a bug flapping on the water’s surface. Also, instead of constantly working the bait, mixing in pauses and occasional shaking is very effective, making the lure look like it is struggling!

Another great way to use bug lures is to hang them over branches or other objects and dip them into the water. This fishing method produces good results without putting any line pressure on the lure.

Line Selection

Braided or monofilament lines are best for fishing the bait with long pauses since they do not sink. Braided line is also recommended for fishing around cover with light tackle.

Offset hooks #1 and #2 are compatible. However, the recommended hook sizes may vary by brand, as some manufacturers vary. Please select the correct hook based on the bait size. We recommend using a light wire hook.
